If anyone is interested in making a friendly wager with me let me know, i want to prove a point. We will take 5 bases every Saturday and the lines must be no greater than -130, we will bet the same games and the same prices and my opponent can study all the statistics he wants and i will flip a coin on those five games (for real) and we will see who comes out ahead by the end of the year based on one unit bets. The games will be posted on Friday night by 7:00PM eastern and all plays must be in by 12:00PM Saturday all on one shot. Please post here if your interested and why your labled smarter (sharp) than the rest of us and then I will pick in my opinion the sharpest guy and we will see who wins.

Will it be the coin flipper jjgold or the sharp guy??

Of course you can, but I would think the sharp against me would be -128.

Why would you waste you time flipping a coin. With 2 gamblers there are 4 possible outcomes for each game. Both Favorite, Both Dog, Sharpie Fav/Coin Dog, Sharpie Dog/ Coin Favorite.
Get it.
Just track the shapies picks, the coin toss is irrelevant
Shoot the puck in the net Amonte, not at his head

jjgold- I am going to back down, as I think that dennistheman is probably the sharpest rep of The Rx. I think that he is interested in getting this party started.

If you are taking reccomendations into considerations, I think that you will face your biggest challenge if you take on "the man." GL 2 you both.

With baseball odds, a capper should be able to beat a coin flip. Not sure if 700 flips/games (I am guessing) will get a true result, but 50/50 with a coin flip, even with a few dogs here and there, the vig will make the difference. Of course with dime lines it won't be as big a sepration, but the guy actually picking would have an advantage here.

Everytime the coin flip "picked" a -130 fave it would have a disadvantage of about 6.5%. Meaning you have to hit 56.5% to break even.

Of course the flip is totally random, and maybe 700 flips wouldn't get a true mean result.

Would be interesting, but the human side would have an advantage for sure.

In the long long long grand scheme of things (if jjgold did this with EVERY poster here) this would be a dead even outcome. If the line on every poster was exactly as follows on EVERY poster,
POSTER -135
JJ (coin-flipper) +115
JJ could bet himself at +115 every match and come out ahead. Obviously a lot of posters here would be a favorite to beat JJ, but just as many vice-versa and probably more actually. Many more squares here than supreme wise-guys.
JJGOLD- Having just ONE poster take you on in this match-up could doom you. There are definetely some individuals around here that would garnish being higher than a -135 favorite.
However, if EVERYONE here took you up on your offer, you would come out smelling like a rose. I wonder if anybody has the nads to come forward and take you up on your offer. If so, I hope the stakes are high. Good luck to you and your future conterpart.
